Adam Rickett and Kavana of Big Reunion super group 5th Story have opened up about the rivalry the two shared back in the 90s.

The two form part of the group, which was formed as part of the second series of ITV2's Big Reunion along with Dane Bowers, Gareth Gates and Kenzie.

The band appeared on ITV's This Morning and Kavana spoke about the tension when his management signed Adam Rickett which led him to part ways with them.

He said: "There were other reasons as well... You make decisions when you're young, but one of the reasons, yeah, was because my manager took on this guy from Coronation Street called Adam Rickitt!"

Rickett revealed that he felt bad that Kavana had felt that way and that the transition from being on “Coronation Street” to being a pop star wasn't necessarily all smooth for him.

"I found it really lonely and not very nice.

"And also because I got into showbiz so young - I didn't even know who I was, and to suddenly get put out into the world, it was all quite intimidating... and that's why when this came around, I was going to say no.

"But when we met for the first time, I thought, 'You know what, this could be really good fun' - they're actually nice guys, so it works."

The new series of the Big Reunion starts this Thursday on ITV2.
