A petition that was started online with the aim to deport Justin Bieber is set to receive a direct response from the White House.

The petition reads: "We the people of the United States feel that we are being wrongly represented in the world of pop culture. We would like to see the dangerous, reckless, destructive and drug abusing Justin Bieber deported and his green card revoked."

The threshold that any petition must pass in order to receive a response from the White House is 100,000 which this has easily done already having amassed 238,000 signatures.

White House spokesperson Jay Carney said at a press conference: "There will be a response when the threshold is crossed. That response will come, I'm sure, relatively soon."
