Sony has confirmed that it is working in conjunction with the estate of the late Michael Jackson in order to promote their new smart phone.

Sony showed an advert for their new handset, the Xperia Z2 at MWC and the ad featured Jackson’s previously unreleased track “Slave 2 The Rhythm”.

Jackson worked on the track when he was working on his album “Dangerous” but a version of the song featuring lyrics from Justin Bieber was leaked on the internet in 2013.

Sony has teased that anyone who buys the new smart phone will be treated to “something special” in relation to Jackson’s music although didn’t give any further details.

It is thought that because of Sony music’s ties with Jackson’s back catalogue of music, buyers of the phone could be treated to a Jackson music bundle pre-loaded on their phones but of course, this is just speculation at the moment.

Sony has assured fans that they will be releasing more information over the coming weeks.
