Ant and Dec have spoken out about some of their “awful” live shows from their days in the music industry.

The pair spoke to Graham Norton frankly about their early days in the industry as PJ and Duncan and revealed that the luxury they enjoy on the road these days was not always to the same standard.

"We played awful venues - night clubs, under-10 discos and truck festivals," Dec revealed.

"The girls would scream and their boyfriends would stand on the balcony and throw ashtrays and ice cubes at us.”

Ant added: "There is no pressure on us to get on as our friendship comes first and our careers second."

The new series of the pair’s hit show “Saturday Night Takeaway” started back last week and tonight the pair will be performing a prank on celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay.
