Pharrell Williams has sold the iconic hat that he wore to this year’s Grammys on eBay.

The hat, designed by Vivienne Westwood was worn by Pharrell at the ceremony back in January and was listed on the online auction site in order to raise funds fro Pharrell’s charity From One Hand to Another.

US restaurant chain Arby’s placed the winning bid, paying $44,100 (£26k) for the item after it was noted that the hat looks very similar to their own logo.

The money raised from the sale of the hat will help the charity provide learning programs for under privileged youth in America.

Pharrell himself is on course to reach number one this week with his new album “G I R L” with the album already climbing to the top of the iTunes chart.
