Brian McFadden has spoken out about the possibility of collaborating with former Westlife band mate Kian Egan.

McFadden said that he was sure he would work with Egan in the future and spoke highly of Egan’s new album.

"I think it's great - I think he's done a great job. I'm delighted for him - a top ten album!"

Kian recently spoke about his new album, saying that it certainly has a more “rocky” feel to it than his material with Westlife. McFadden agreed.

"I remember when we started out in Westlife he was always listening to Pearl Jam, Metallica, Audioslave and stuff like that,” he said.

"I think he's a rock fan, so now that he's taken his Westlife suit off he's letting his hair down!"

He was also asked if he would like to write material for Kian: "We have written before - me and Kian have written a lot of songs together.

"So I'm sure we'll get in the studio. It's always mad when we're together so it's never off the cards for us to do stuff together."
