Robin Thicke Forced to Pull Out of Awards Performance
- in Latest
Robin Thicke has been forced to pull out of his scheduled performance at the Juno Awards in Canada.
The singer has been placed on “mandatory vocal rest” which means that in addition to missing his performance at the ceremony, he was also forced to cancel a further two performance over the weekend.
Thicke was nominated for three Juno Awards: Artist of the Year, Pop Album of the Year and the Juno Fan Choice Award.
Executive producer of the awards John Brunton insists that there will be no problem in making provisions in Thicke’s absence saying: "This is show business, so we're always prepared for this type of situation.
"This morning's announcement will not impact what is looking to be a hell of a show. If rehearsals are any indication, viewers will be treated to a fantastic broadcast, and a few surprises as well."
