A man who is a conspiracy theorist surrounding the death of Kurt Cobain has sued the Seattle Police Department.

Richard Lee believes that Cobain was murdered rather than the official verdict of suicide following the revelation of new photos of the crime scene which had previously been unseen by the public.

Lee is representing himself in the case is saying that the photos should have been released long before now but it has been claimed that there are “broad issues” surrounding the police disclosing the photos.

As part of the 20th anniversary of the death of the Nirvana front man, Seattle police recently re-investigated but found no new evidence to change the original outcome of the case.
