James Corden Describes Presenting the Brit Awards as Horrid
- in Latest
James Corden has described his experience of presenting the Brit Awards over the last five years as “horrid”.
The comedian hosted his last ceremony this year and claims that it wasn’t nice presenting to a room of people who "don't listen to anything you say".
Corden said in an interview for the Michael McIntyre Chat Show: "It was horrid. It is so much fun the week leading up to it and you get to see the bands, and then it is live and you are in this room full of people that don't listen to anything you say.
"People who beg for a ticket turn up and pretend they are too cool to be there. They are all chatting, drinking and eating.
"It doesn't feel like there is a TV show going on, it feels like a big social function being watched by the rest of people in the arena. You are doing it and people are walking past you, they know it is on TV."
He did say that he would miss presenting.
“I enjoyed doing it and I'm sure when it comes around in February I will miss being part of it," he said.
