White House Decline to Comment on Bieber Deportation Petition
- in Latest
The White House have refused to pass comment on an online petition that was seeking to get troubled singer Justin Bieber deported from the US.
The petition aimed to get the Canadian singer’s green card revoked which would means him being deported back to his country of birth.
Nearly 275,000 people signed the petition and typically the White House is obligated to comment on petitions that receive more than 100,000 signatures.
Unfortunately for the people who signed it, the White House is also able to decline comment on certain petitions under its “We the People” act.
They did release statement saying: "Thanks for your petition and your participation in We the People. Sorry to disappoint, but we won't be commenting on this one.
"So we'll leave it to others to comment on Mr Bieber's case, but we're glad you care about immigration issues. Because our current system is broken."
