Miley Cyrus has revealed that she “doesn't die a pop dumb dumb” and so is catching up on reading from her hospital bed.

Cyrus has been placed on bed rest since suffering a severe allergic reaction to antibiotics on Wednesday and has been forced to cancel several dates on her Bangerz tour.

The singer has made it clear that she is unhappy about being placed on bed rest but also took to Twitter to reveal that she is using the time to educate herself saying: “reading books so i don't die a famous pop pop dumb dumb”.

It is uncertain how much longer Miley will be forced to stay in hospital while she recuperates but a spokesperson representing the singer said: “This type of extreme reaction can last from five to 27 days in these types of cases.

“She will remain hospitalised and is under a doctor's care until we see some improvement in her condition and is asking for your compassion and privacy at this time."
