Justin Bieber Apologises Over Instagram Post
- in Latest
Justin Bieber has once again been forced to apologise for his conduct after posting a picture of a Japanese war shrine on his Instagram page.
He was visiting the Yasukuni Shrine in Tokyo which pays tribute to fallen warriers and war criminals.
Controversy arose from the fact that the shrine is seen as a nod to Japan's imperial past and a failure to apologise for militarism by China and South Korea.
One Instagram user responded to the post by saying: "This is totally irresponsible and offensive. Justin, you've let us - your fans - down and should delete it before more damage is done."
Bieber later apologised saying: "While in Japan I asked my driver to pull over for which I saw a beautiful shrine. I was mislead to think the shrines were only a place of prayer.
"To anyone I have offended I am extremely sorry. I love you China and I love you Japan."
