The musical based on the X Factor, “I Can’t Sing” is to close down after just two months.

The final performance of the musical is set to take place at the London Palladium on May 10th.

The musical was co-written by Harry Hill and had the backing of Simon Cowell from the beginning, being co-produced by his company Syco Entertainment.

Nigel Hall of Syco Entertainment spoke of the show’s closure saying: "Alongside Stage Entertainment we'd like to thank the cast and crew who have worked so hard on this show.

"To everyone at Really Useful Theatres and the ever supportive staff at the London Palladium, and everyone involved in I Can't Sing! I'd like to say a huge thanks and the very best of luck with their next venture."

The show had previously enjoyed positive reviews and has been taking bookings right up until October before the announcement of its closure.
