One Direction have vowed that they will stay together for their fans as long as they support them.

The band have denied rumours which have circulated over the last year that they are set to split and have recently told the Sun that they are working hard on their new album.

"We always hear rumours about us splitting - but we're not," Harry Styles said.

"We've already started recording our fourth album."

Niall Horan added: "The fact we have an album coming should put these rumours to bed. We're here for as long as the fans want us."

The boy’s bandmate Liam Payne also revealed that the band are trying to release new material “year after year”.

One Direction are currently in the middle of the South American leg of their “Where we are” tour.
