Katy Perry fans have long lusted after the star’s style but the eagle-eyed amongst them have now noted some striking similarities that imply that she may just have gained inspiration from a cartoon character.

Many of Perry’s outfit concepts have been compared to those of 1940s comic book character Katy Keene and although it has been made public knowledge that her stylists take inspiration from vintage creations, there are a number of occasions where comparisons can be drawn.

No official comment has been made as to whether the similarities are complete coincidence or direct inspiration has been drawn from the comic but it does appear that someone on Perry’s styling team has a bit of a fan girl obsession.
