Metallica to Headline Glastonbury

It has been confirmed that Metallica are the third and final headlining act for this year’s Glastonbury festival.
They join the already confirmed Kasabian and Arcade Fire on Worthy Farm's Pyramid Stage.
The band confirmed the news with a tweet saying: "Worst kept secret in rock and roll is now confirmed... see you at @GlastoFest on June 28th! #MetOnTour."
The festival’s organisor Organiser Michael Eavis said of the announcement: "Metallica are one of the most popular bands in the world! And they really are a phenomenal live act. This is a band that can sell out stadiums in pretty much every country on the planet."
This will be the first time in the festival’s 44 year history that a metal band have headlined.
