David Cameron Quotes Take That in Parliament Over Gary Barlow Tax Avoidance
- in Latest
Prime Minister David Cameron has quoted Take That in Parliament whilst discussing Gary Barlow’s tax avoidance.
He was being challenged by a Labour MP who condemned what they described as tax schemes of "Tory-supporting Gary Barlow" and his Take That band mates.
"I couldn't have been clearer that I condemn all of these aggressive tax avoidance schemes," the Prime Minister said.
He them adapted a famous line from one of Take That’s songs saying: "We want your money back for good."
Cameron defended Gary Barlow earlier in the week when claims of his tax avoidance emerged and said that what he had done did not warrant the singer being stripped of his OBE.
