Will Ferrell and Chad Smith of the Red Hot Chili Peppers have finally ended their rivalry by having their long awaited “drum-off”.

The pair have been compared as lookalikes for years and have never appeared in public together until their appearance last night on the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

Both men wore matching black leather jackets, Kiss t-shirts and caps worn backwards, just to confuse audiences even further.

They even conducted the interview that occurred before the drum-off as the other with Ferrell pretending to by Smith and vice versa.

For the main event, Ferrell eventually resorted to using a cow bell and was eventually named victorious over Smith.

During the contest, Smith’s band even surprised the audience by appearing on stage with them.

Although the drum-off was conducted in a very tongue-in-cheek way, it was also used as a method of raising over $300,000 for charities Cancer for College and Little Kids Rock.
