Sales of Solange Knowles’ digital music have increased since her spat with brother in law Jay-Z.

The pair were caught on camera getting into a heated argument that resulted in Solange lashing out physically at him.

According to Nielson SoundScan data, Solange had only secured 600 sales in the week before the spat but this had jumped to 2000 after the highly publicised fight.

Following the incident, Solange, Beyonce and Jay-Z released a joint statement saying that they were trying to put the incident behind them.

“As a result of the public release of the elevator security footage from Monday, May 5th, there has been a great deal of speculation about what triggered the unfortunate incident. But the most important thing is that our family has worked through it.

"Jay and Solange each assume their share of responsibility for what has occurred. They both acknowledge their role in this private matter that has played out in the public. They both have apologised to each other and we have moved forward as a united family."
