Queen have confirmed that they will be releasing an album shortly featured vocals of the late Freddie Mercury.

Brian May revealed the news in an interview with BBC Radio Wales, also revealing that the album would likely be released towards the end of the year and be entitled “Queen Forever”.

The songs that will feature on the album were originally recorded in the 80s and have been remastered with the instrumental tracks having been re-recorded recently.

May spoke about what the album would sound like saying: "It is quite emotional. It is the big, big ballads and the big, big epic sound."

He also revealed that he is restoring the songs himself in collaboration with Roger Taylor.

"We had to start from scratch because we only had scraps," he explained.

"But knowing how it would have happened if we had finished it, I can sit there and make it happen with modern technology."
