It is rumoured that One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson could be in the process of mounting a bid to buy football club Doncaster Rovers.

The pop star is a supporter of the club and also made his debut playing for them in February having signed a non-contract deal to play for them.

The Sun newspaper has now claimed that Tomlinson has plans to become the club’s chairman.

Along with band mate Liam Payne, Tomlinson is the highest paid member of the boy band having collaborated with Payne to write half the tracks on the band’s Midnight Memories album. This means that the pair get a higher percentage of the royalties earned.

Tomlinson caused controversy earlier this week after a video of Zayn Malik smoking weed that Tomlinson reportedly filmed was leaked to the media.
