Louis Tomlinson of One Direction is set to complete his take over of Doncaster Rovers later this week.

The pop star will join forces with the club’s former owner John Ryan in order for them to both become joint chairmen of the club.

An insider previously told The Sun about the take over saying: "John is the business brains. He's incredibly experienced and Louis is learning so much from him. They want the deal to go through by July in time for the start of the new season. It's at an advanced stage.

''He and John have very ambitious plans for the club. They want to get back to the Championship within a year, and into the Premiership within three years.''

The deal had been held back over concerns with Tomlinson’s image rights but should be complete by Wednesday.
