- in Latest
Frances Bean Cobain has spoken out to criticise Lana Del Rey for “romanticising” the death of young musicians.
In a recent interview with a Guardian journalist, Lana made the controversial comment that she wished she were already dead, name dropping the likes of Frances’ father Kurt Cobain and Amy Winehouse.
In a series of tweets, Frances said: "@LanaDelRey the death of young musicians isn't something to romanticize," said Frances Bean.
"LanaDelRey I'll never know my father because he died young & it becomes a desirable feat because ppl like u think it's 'cool'.
"Well, it's f**king not. Embrace life, because u only get one life. The ppl u mentioned wasted that life. Don't be 1 of those ppl.
After receiving criticism from a fan of Lana’s Frances responded by saying: "I told her to not waste her life. How is that attacking. I literally said embrace this life because u only get1.. ur too talented to waste it away.
"I'm not attacking anyone. I have no animosity towards Lana, I was just trying to put things in perspective from personal experience."
