Katy Perry has been revealed t be the top selling digital artist of all time.

She has been crowned RIAA Gold & Platinum Program's top digital artist of all time having sold 72 million; an amazing 20 million more than any other artist.

“Katy Perry is a force to be reckoned with in music. We are honoured to recognize Katy as the most successful digital artist in Gold & Platinum Program history,' said RIAA Chairman & CEO Cary Sherman during a ceremony at Verizon Center in Washington, D.C.

“She embodies all that makes a true global superstar: the musical talent, the extraordinary drive and genuine charisma, and an intrinsic connection with her fans. This award is a reflection of her deep commitment to those qualities and to her music, which has propelled her to this historic milestone."
