- in Latest
It has been confirmed that a woman has had to be airlifted to hospital from Glastonbury after sustaining a spinal injury on Saturday.
Officials have not yet released the identity of the woman but they did confirm that her injuries required her to receive care off site.
Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance tweeted: "Confirmation that an adult female with spinal injuries has been airlifted from @GlastoFest and conveyed to Southmead Hospital @GlastoInfo."
The festival continued unhindered despite the incident and bouts of poor weather.
Festival organiser Michael Eavis has confirmed that there will be no Glastonbury festival in 2017 in order to allow the ground at Worthy Farm, where the festival takes place, to fully recover.
