Former members of the band Lostprophets have revealed that they have formed a new band called No Devotion.
The band is fronted by former Thursday lead singer Geoff Rickly and their first single will be called “Stay”.
Lee Gaze, Mike Lewis, Stuart Richardson, Jamie Oliver and Luke Johnson, all formerly of Lostprophets revealed earlier in the year that they have been working on new material since former frontman Ian Watkins was imprisoned for child sex offences.
Richardson said of the effect of Watkins’ actions: "We didn't know if we would ever make music again, if people would look us in the face. Everything felt like it was over.
"We didn't know what else to do. We just wrote music. I didn't know if anyone ever would hear it. I just needed to occupy my brain. We just needed this."
No Devotion are touring the UK later this month with the following dates:
• July 22 - Cardiff, CF10
• July 23 - Manchester, Sound Control
• July 25 - London, O2 Islington Academy
• July 26 - Glasgow, O2 ABC2
