Beyonce and Dr Dre have overtaken Oprah Winfrey on Forbes’ list of most influential celebrities.

Dre has climbed up the list in the last year with the sale of his Beats by Dre company to Apple which amassed him an alleged $3 billion.

Bon Jovi became the thirteenth on the list off the back of the strength of his last tour.

The Forbes list judges on several factors including income from June 1, 2013 to June 1, 2014 and impact that a celebrity has in the media.

It includes celebrities from movies, TV, sports, music, books and modelling.

The top ten is as follows:

3. Dr. Dre

4. Oprah Winfrey

5. Ellen DeGeneres

6. Jay-Z

7. Floyd Mayweather, Jr.

8. Rihanna
