Lily Allen will be joining Miley Cyrus on the US leg of her Bangerz tour.

It will mark the first time that Lily has had any North American tour dates in over five years.

Allen has recently spoken out to say that she has been a supporter of Cyrus all the way through her recent troubles.

''I actually think Rihanna and Miley in particular are [being sexy] because they want to do it.

"I don't think someone sat in a room with Miley Cyrus and said, 'Right you're going to be sexy, stick your tongue out and wear bikinis.' She wants to do that, she's got a banging body. She's worked out in the gym all the time, she wants to show it off, that's great."

Allen will be attending the following tour dates:

August 1 – Uniondale, NY, Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum

August 2 – Philadelphia, PA, Wells Fargo Centre

August 4 – Pittsburgh, PA, CONSOL Energy Centre

August 6 – Charlotte, NC, Time Warner Cable Arena

August 7 – Nashville, TN, Bridgestone Arena

August 9 – Louisville, KY, KFC Yum! Centre

August 10 – St Louis, MO, Scottrade Centre
