AC/DC have revealed that work on their new album is complete.

The band’s front man Brian Johnson spoke about how the band worked on the album in Vancouver and revealed that it is likely to be released at some point next year.

"It was brilliant over there. We’re done. I’m very excited and we’ve got some great songs,” he said.

The band reported back in April that founding member Malcolm Young had been forced to step down due to ill health and the future of the band was called into question.

A statement by AC/DC later confirmed that Young would just be taking a break after being a part of the band for 40 years.
