TheDance Mega Mix playlist to get the Tiësto treatment this Saturday night

This Saturday, August 2nd, music fans will enjoy a global first as Grammy Award-nominated titan Tiësto, one of the biggest superstars in electronic dance music, will take over the reigns of the Dance Mega Mix playlist on Spotify.

Music fans can listen to the dance floor legend’s selections by following the hugely popularDance Mega Mix on Spotify where Tiësto will be staging a live takeover from 3pm GMT on Saturday 2nd August, with the playlist available to listen to for the following 24 hours.

Fans can expect to hear a selection of the world’s biggest floor-fillers, drops from special guests who will pop up throughout the show, as well as tracks from Tiësto’s latest album A Town Called Paradise [Musical Freedom/Casablanca Records], available on Spotify, which features an exclusive track “Say Something”. In addition to debuting at #2 on the iTunes Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart, the album yielded the hits “Wasted” [Featuring Matthew Koma] and “Red Lights” as well as “Let’s Go” [featuring Icona Pop].

Speaking about his latest album, Tiësto said: "I love all the tracks on the album. But one of my favourites is “Echoes” featuring Andreas Moe. It’s such a beautiful song, and so different. It’s about when you think about a person and you can still hear the echoes inside your head. Bouncing all the way back to your heart. It’s such a great lyric. And the track is very original, and powerful, I think."

Tiësto remains one of the genre’s foremost innovators. Mixmag called him “The Greatest DJ of All Time”, while Rolling Stone dubbed him “#1” DJ. He continues to expand his sphere of influence, partnering with everybody from 7UP to AKG in addition to headlining massive festivals around the globe such as Ultra Music Festival and Electric Daisy Carnival.
