LOS ANGELES—Just wrapping up new single promo during the BET Awards in Los Angeles, Houston-based indie pop singer/songwriter and protege of Jazz from Dru Hill, Yhai Porter, just released her latest edgy and dark single “Bad Girl.”

“When I wrote it, I wanted to paint a picture of a girl that wanted to have a good time. But as I wrote it, I realized that this girl had to be something other than just a bad girl. She needed to be a vampire. So, the song is actually about me transforming me into the club,” said Yhai.

Over the past several years, Yhai has been making a smash as independent artist. She currently has 5 singles released including “Bad Girl”, “Rush of Love”,  “Jupiter”, and “Superwoman” and was recently named ”On the Radar” by Empire Radio Magazine.
