SET AND SETTING was originally formed as a recording project in 2009 by guitarist Shane Handal and has since continued to develop into its current line-up also featuring Ryan Fugate (guitars), Stephen Handal (drums, ambience), Mark Etherington (drums) and Nick Sibilia (bass).

Lauded as 2013′s “Best Bay Area Breakout Band” by Creative Loafing (Tampa) following the release of their debut record "Equanimity" (Science of Silence Records), the band headed to Pinecrust Studios in Miami with producer/engineer/mixer Ryan Haft (Torche, Capsule) for the creation of their conceptual effort "A Vivid Memory," which touches on the feelings surrounding death from varying perspectives.
