LUMBERJVCK ‘JVCKWOOD’ New EP Release

Fresh filth for Dubstep fans has just hit stores today, courtesy of the versatile young talent, LUMBERJVCK. Having just recently headlined at Avalon in Hollywood a little over a week ago, this face-sawing bass creator has become a name to look out for as of late. Now back better than ever, he’s just been picked up by Excision’s Rottun Recordings, and has created an amazingly murky four-track collection for the label.

The 'JVCKWOODD' EP is a chance for this new talent, otherwise known as Connor Schatzel, to stamp out his fresh sound for bass heads everywhere. Trained classically in multiple instruments across the spectrum, his natural ability in sound become evident with the EP. From the hints of piano in the frenzied “Cordwood” to the gritty guitar patterns in “Bumpwood” (a collaboration with Khemehk), there is real texture behind the depths of grime. It’s truly incredible to be seeing these rising Dubstep talents make an impact in the scene. Showcasing that the genre is still well alive, I couldn’t disagree with Skream more.

A gripping sample of LUMBERJVCK’s style, 'JVCKWOOD' already has me hungry for more of his work. Be sure to get your Q-tips ready, because this woodman’s grime bass will be stuck in your ears for weeks to come. You can purchase your copy of this jaw-dropping EP here.
