Trumpdisco – ‘Third’ EP From Australian Dance Music Producer
- in Latest
Trumpdisco, hailing from Melbourne, Australia, has been pushing his off-kilter brand of electronic dance music since 2009, and now is set to drop his new EP. For those unfamiliar, you may have heard remixes that he has delivered for the likes of Diplo or Proxy, or perhaps have unwittingly heard one of his bootlegs for James Blake or Fatboy Slim. He prides himself on creating original and varied pieces of work, without needing to churn out an endless chain of club-ready singles.
This is no exception with his upcoming release, and Trumpdisco has worked with two labels for his ‘Third Pt.1’ EP. To be released on a joint release, in Australia through Vicious Recordings and through UK Dubstep label’s sister imprint No Tomorrow Recordings on September 5th, this three-track collection is designed to spice up the bass scene.
From the most obviously catchy ‘Outworld’ with cycles of scratches and darkly bouncing bass line to the more experimental ‘Ill Still’, Trumpdisco has gone firmly outside the box for this release. ‘High Silence’ is a personal favourite with its moodily progressive rhythm and gnarly, winding melody.
With such a unique sound within its genre, there is no chance that this collection will go unnoticed. Keep an eye out for September 8th, and for details on ‘Pt.2’ as well.
