MARTY FRIEDMAN ANNOUNCES UK TOUR WITH KREATOR, ARCH ENEMY & SHINING

On his critically acclaimed new album "Inferno," legendary guitarist MARTY FRIEDMAN delivers what NPR calls "his purest, heaviest guitar work in many years." After kicking off a world tour earlier this year with a month-long, co-headlining European trek with Gus G (Ozzy Osbourne), FRIEDMAN has now announced plans to return to the UK in December to tour alongside thrash legends Kreator, melodic death metallists Arch Enemy and and Norwegian blackjazz outfit Shining!

Having previously enlisted Shining frontman/saxophonist Jørgen Munkeby to guest on the "Inferno" track "Meat Hook", which was described as "screeching saxophone and zany piano lines to a crushing backdrop of grind and thrash" (Blabbermouth), FRIEDMAN will now use the group as his backing band during the run and also perform a few surprise collaborations. Full dates can be found in the above flyer or listed below.

Says FRIEDMAN, "Arch Enemy and Kreator are two of my all-time favorite bands in metal, and after collaborating with Shining on my latest album, I can not wait to break all sorts of musical rules and boundaries with them live on the same stage. This will be a once in a lifetime collection of unique metal presences."

Munkeby added, "We're super happy to play these shows with old and new metal gods alike! To add to that, we're even doing a very special and unique set together with MARTY FRIEDMAN on stage, which will include both Shining and MARTY material. Can't wait to be part of such a cool setup! 2014 has been one of Shining's best and most active years so far, and what a grand way to top it off!"

Recorded primarily in Los Angeles with Chris Rakestraw (Danzig, Children of Bodom) and mixed by Jens Bogren (Opeth, Amon Amarth), “Inferno" also features notable guest appearances by Rodrigo y Gabriela, Revocation guitar whiz David Davidson, acclaimed rocker Danko Jones and FRIEDMAN 's first songwriting collaboration with ALS survivor Jason Becker since the pair played together in Cacophony.

Featuring 12 tracks "rich with complex melodies and nuanced arrangements" (Rolling Stone), "Inferno" is currently available via Prosthetic Records. Stop at your local Best Buy, FYE or independent record shop and pick up a copy today, or grab a digital download via iTunes or Amazon MP3!
