(Atlanta, GA) - Five-piece "Theatre Rock" band The Funeral Portrait will release their debut EP For The Dearly Departed on 9/23 via Revival Recordings. Today, you can stream the record early, courtesy of ARTISTdirect.com.

The Funeral Portrait signed to Revival Recordings (owned by Shawn Milke of Alesana) earlier this month after recording For The Dearly Departed at Adelaide Recording Studios in Raleigh. The six song EP was produced by Milke and engineered/mixed by Neil Engle. The band is currently on the "Chaos Is A Ladder Tour" with Alesana, Megosh, and The Things They Carried. ABOUT THE FUNERAL PORTRAIT
The Funeral Portrait is a five-piece pop-rock outfit hailing from Atlanta, Georgia. Consisting of vocalist Lee Jennings, guitarist/vocalist Juergie Landstrom, guitars AJ Pekarek, bassist Chris King, and drummer Stephen Danzey, the band blends elements of rock and roll, heavy metal, and theatre all under a blanket of pop sensibility as they paint their stories of love, loss, anger, and grief onto a canvas of skillfully crafted songs.
