Susan Boyle is still the best selling album in America at the moment, with another “Talent” show contestant hot on her heals at number 2. Jackie Evnacho, the 10 year old “America’s got Talent” runner up came in at number 2 with her Ep, O’Holy Night.

Despite selling over 200,000 copies Rihanna could only make number 3 with her new album, Loud. Nonetheless, the album shows that the popularity of the singer is stronger than it ever was and, as will probably at least gain one spot next week.

Susan Boyle, despite the competition intensifying, has added to her achievement of two number one albums in both the UK and USA in under a year. Kieth Urban, Kid-rock, Taylor Swift, and Rascal Flats are all vying for the number one spot at the moment, as well as Rihanna.

Other than Susan Boyle, the only other album not to be a debut this week was Taylor Swift’s, Speak Now record. Despite suffering a 30% drop in sales still managed to sell 146,000 copies.

Christmas, is traditionally time for new releases so next week’s chart will probably be completely different with releases from My Chemical Romance and Kayne.
