"Used To" - on the Grammy Ballot for “Record of the Year

Richard Holley’s Country/Pop song, “Used To”, from the Bond Never Broken album (released May, 2014), has been accepted onto the Ballot for the 57th Grammy Awards - Record of the Year” category. “Used To” is a song filled with a sweet sadness and nostalgia for the good times past, and includes a beautiful pedal steel and fiddle accompaniment.

Richard has a deep appreciation and love for Cajun music, and has included two songs (“Tula”, and “The Sweetest Little Girl”) on the Bond Never Brokenalbum written in the Cajun style. These songs employ Cajun accordion, banjo, and fiddle in the instrumental mix.

Richard Holley’s first album: Leave the World a Little Better Than You Found It (released in July, 2012) may also be heard at: http://richardholleymusic.com/music. This album consists of 14 songs in the genres of Pop, Rock, Reggae, and World music. Richard was blessed by the willing collaboration of many talented singers, performers, and instrumentalists on this album. The Title Song: “Leave the World a Little Better than You Found It” is a Reggae tune. Other tunes from this album, which appeal for a more caring response to some of today’s most pressing issues are: “The Immigrant Song”, “War-Torn Face”, “I Love You With All of My Heart” (which deals with the stress of daily living, and how this impacts our personal relationships).

 

Richard is currently recording his third album- Keep Me In Your Heart -which will be released early in 2015. This album will include the title song, and other new tunes including: “As Only Love Can Do”, “Everything’s Gonna Be Alright”, and, “We Are the Children of God”.
