Noel Gallagher is often cited as the driving force behind the band Oasis, where and the band saw phenomenal success in the 1990s.  Since the much publicised split with Oasis front man and brother, Liam Gallagher, the band split up and both brothers have gone in their own directions. Where as Liam Gallagher formed a new band, Beady Eye, who have recently announced tour dates, Noel Gallagher has opted for the studio to record a new studio album.

To help on the project Noel Gallagher has called on an old friend Miles Kane from the Last Shadow Puppets, who has recently stated he has played guitar on one track of Liam Gallagher’s fourth coming album, whereby he returned a favour for Liam Gallagher doing some vocal work on his solo album.

Oasis fans were shocked at the falling out of the Gallagher brothers, and the band splitting up. It followed a rocky road of controversial stories concerning the band ripping off lyrics from other sources and contravening intellectual property rights of other artists.

No release date has been set for Noel Gallagher’s new album. It is not inconceivable that the album will be followed by a tour.
