Buffalo Killers Premiere New Song and Guitar Tutorial at Guitar World and Guitar Aficionado
- in Latest
(Cincinnati, OH) - The bearded, classic rock loving dudes in Buffalo Killers will be releasing a brand new record on 11/24 called Fireball of Sulk. Today, with the help of Guitar World and Guitar Aficionado, they are letting you hear one of the new tracks early and guitarists Andy Gabbard and Sven Kahns even demonstrate how to play the tune. Watch the tutorial and listen to the song here or here.
"A lot of the songs that I write are attempts of combining both dark and light. Pretty melody with wicked overtones," says Gabbard. "'Blankets On The Sun is about tuning out and feeling dead. The lyrics are playful and dumb. A fun song to play."
Fireball of Sulk (produced by Jim Wirt at Crushtone Studios) is a follow up to Heavy Reverie, the full-length that landed Buffalo Killers a spot on last season's Last Call with Carson Daly. The record is available for pre-order along with exclusive merch and each purchase comes with an instant download of the song "Marshmallow Mouth."

11/26 @ Northside Tavern - Cincinnati, OH

About Buffalo Killers:
"One of the best fucking rock 'n' roll bands in the world" - Chris Robinson
"Heavy on the heavy and with plenty of hooks" - High Times
Buffalo Killers hailing from OHIO deliver hook heavy homegrown rock n roll. Lead by songwriting brothers Zachary and Andrew Gabbard, the band has drawn the attention of the likes of Chris Robinson, who invited them to open a string of dates for The Black Crowes and Dan Auerbach, who produced their sophomore effort "Let It Ride," to name a few.
Hot on the tail of a prolific three years of released albums (the critically acclaimed 3 (2011), Dig. Sow. Love. Grow. (2012) and Ohio Grass (2013)), the band signed with Sun Pedal Recordings. They then entered Crushtone Studios with platinum producer Jim Wirt (Incubus, Fiona Apple) to record Heavy Reverie before making an appearance on Last Call with Carson Daly. They returned to Crushtone for their new record Fireball of Sulk, a six-song offering that will be released on 11/24.
There's a different world out there that awaits you. Buffalo Killers are bringing that world to you.
