‘FARADAY CAGE’ SINGLE RELEASED – NOVEMBER 24TH HONSAI JNR REMIX REVEALED
- in Latest
With the recent reveal of Escapists' latest single ‘Faraday Cage’, the indie quartet have unveiled two new versions of the song as a taster to the original’s release. The first remix has been provided by Japanese producer Honsai Jnr, it was first premiered on Surviving The Golden Age who said, “Honsai Jnr creates a glitchy remix of chopped up vocals and lush instrumentation compromised of loops, guitar sinppets, sitar, and drums.”
Honsai Jnr adds his electro-art eclecticism to the jittered and twisted indie rock original. Manipulating the intricate guitar, dark bass and anthemic vocals of Escapists, he springboards from the original lively drum patter of ‘Faraday Cage’ to develop a huge slice of feel-good electronica.
The second is a beautifully delicate acoustic rendition of ‘Faraday Cage’. The song was also premiered on Surviving The Golden Age, where they said, “Containing excellent string arrangement from Max Perryment [of Escapists], the track feels born anew as a jaunty folk track like something from Yo Yo Ma’s ‘The Goat Rodeo Sessions’ but with vocals.”
