X-Factor finalist Katie Waissel has eventually been evicted from the show. The singer who found herself in the bottom two on four previous occasions and who, controversially has been saved by the judges, found herself dumped out of the show.

The singer was upbeat and positive when interviewed: "I just feel so grateful to have even gotten this far," she said. "I hope I've inspired people and shown that no matter how many times you get knocked you can still keep going."

Whether she was referring to cutting a jazz album under the name Fontaine, being a reality TV star under the name Katie Vogul, or simply having connections with Sony BMG, the same record label Simon Cowell works for is not exactly clear.

Nonetheless, Katie Waissel had no tears at being evicted which is a refreshing change from most stages in the competition prior to last Sunday’s eviction show. No doubt, together with Sony BMG Katie Waissel has a bright future where she has no need to get emotional.

Katie was evicted along with Wagner in a double eviction special. No doubt the X-Factor management, together with whatever record companies are involved in the show are glad the Brazilian is out of the competition, and now a more predictable X-Factor can ensue.
