In an interview with Absolute Radio, rock legend Elton John labelled Oasis “stupid s***s” for not taking the opportunity to crack America. Oasis split last year after a series of fall outs between Liam and Noel Gallagher. It was a fall out back in 1996 which was at the height of the bands fame in both Great Britain and America, that the band cancelled a string of tour dates due to a falling out.

"They were enormous in Britain, they were enormous in America and they went over there and argued between themselves and cancelled the tour and they never broke America. You only get it once, and if you blow it, it's gone. You can't not regret that. I always thought, 'You stupid s**ts. You'll never get that opportunity again.'"

Elton John went on to praise other British and Irish bands that have gone to the USA and done well. "It's only the cream that rises to the top. It's always the ones with the best work ethic and the best material and the best attitude. You know, it's the boys from the men. Coldplay, Muse, U2(The) Police, all those bands. They're the men, and all the rest are boys."

Sir Elton is considered to be a contender to play at the fourth coming royal wedding.
