Author Mae Edwards (www.maeedwards.com) releases Grace - the last disc in a four-CD, 45-track, year-long rollout of provocative, cutting edge music connected to an ambitious multi-media project that includes the ethereal indie rocker's lushly illustrated hardcover book, "Starlette & Saint: A Memoir on Dualism."
This 12-track collection - now available on major online music retailers - relates to the spiritual side of humanity, and is inspired by the source of inner peace. A highlight from Grace is the track "First Light", featuring insightful spoken words from psychic medium Marilyn Alauria.
The entire volume includes lyrics and chord charts for every song and beautiful spiritual prose commenting on them. Her commentaries reflect her years-long studies into numerous spiritual traditions (Christianity, Buddhism) as well as thought provoking references to world history, psychology, folklore, U.S. travel destinations and popular film.
Edwards has also hit Music Connection Magazine's "Hot 100 Live Unsigned Artists & Bands List" for 2014. The full list appears in the December 2014 issue.
Edwards also recently released a visually stimulating video for her song, "Astral Travels Plane 9" featuring artwork by Abby VanMuijen who created a water color dreamscape viewers can't take their eyes away from. This track is on the third album, Elements in Continuity: Essays On Parallelism in her four-disc set. The video can be viewed on YouTube here: http://goo.gl/UG5chS.
Also coming from Edwards this winter is a limited edition package featuring eight of her 45 tracks on a special CD sampler, along with an aromatherapy candle and inspirational door hanger to designate time and silence for one's inner growth.
Edwards recently attend the 5th Annual Hollywood Music In Media Awards(HMMA) as she was nominated for her empowering song "A Face In the Crowd" from her album Hieroglyphs of Emotion.
The multi-talented artist scored her first HMMA nomination in February in the Adult Contemporary/AAA category for her single "Anything Anymore" from the first CD of the set, No Prayers Could Ever Save Me From the Love You Never Gave Me. The album earned endless praise from Devon Cathlin of Surfrock Music which can be read here: http://www.surfrockmusic.com/mae-edwards-no-prayers-could-ever-save-me-from-the-love-you-never-gave-me.html
Also in the works for Edwards is a unique 52-week menu set cookbook, inspired by the emotions of these songs, along with a series of CDs / mp3s comprised of spiritual meditative music inspired by seasons and natural elements.
