Rock and Roll may live forever, but the Snow can Stop it!
- in Latest
Though the power of music cannot be underestimated, the live performance can be stopped by bad weather. Snow and ice have stopped many gigs from going ahead throughout the week, and many bands have been forced to reschedule tour dates. The bands that have been forced to cancel gigs over the weekend are:
Gallows, Hastings Crypt
The Heartbreaks, Glasgow Captain's Rest
Madness, Hull Arena
The Crookes, Bath Moles (clubnight still going ahead)
The Blue Aeroplanes, Bristol Fleece
The Hamsters, Cambridge Junction
Engineers, Liverpool Masque
Toby Jepson, Sheffield Corporation
Johnny And The Prison Didn't Help Boys, Sheffield New Barrack Tavern
Mark Olson/The Pines/Tim Dalling, Newcastle Cluny
Tamarin, Manchester Kraak
Dodgy, Stirling Fubar (December 4 Dunfermline and December 5 Dundee shows also cancelled)
If you have gig tickets that are in a part of the UK that has been hit by bad weather, ensure you check with the venue if the gig is still going ahead before you leave.
The Scissor Sisters have also announced that the cancelled Brighton show has been rescheduled for the same venue on the 12th December. Refunds can be obtained from the point of purchase. The band were forced to cancel due to weather conditions.
