Former 2008 X – Factor star Ruth Lorenzo has sold out her first gig in three hours. The former contestant is scheduled to play her first gig with her full band, the Raspberry Pattern, at London 229 Venue on the 4th February, where she and her band will perform tracks from their debut album.

This is a departure for X – Factor contestants, who normally perform a more pop orientated song to backing tracks. Of her new record and band, Ruth had this to say,  
‘I have been working with some extremely talented writers and producers on a collection of songs of which not only I am proud of, but which represents who I am as an artist, writer and performer. An album that is true to my character and that hopefully will stand the test of time.'

Ruth Lorenzo has had a busy two years since leaving the X – Factor in 2008, where she has been busy tailoring her song writing skills to an English audience, and has been heavily involved with Danni Minogue’s fourth coming album due out next year.

Ruth Lorenzo and the Raspberry Pattern’s debut album, is scheduled for release early next year.
