EMERGING POP/ROCK SINGER/SONGWRITER ANNIE BANY
RIDS WINTER BLUES WITH THE RELEASE OF HER EDGY, INFECTIOUS
NEW SINGLE 'PARADISE'
NASHVILLE - Though she'll always be an Oregon farm girl at heart, emerging pop/rock songstress and songwriter Annie Bany (http://www.anniebany.com/) is excited to bring her fun, fresh, playful and edgy vibe to a whole new dimension on the infectious, high-energy new single "Paradise" now available on iTunes.
In the song, which features a cool rap by CrooKid, she dreams: "We're on our way to Paradise/We're leavin' this and landin' in a dream/Like a lucky pair of dice...you're winning when you're crashing into me...so here we go..."
"Paradise' paints the picture of my 'happy place' and perfect getaway: Hawaii," Annie says. "This song was inspired by a time when I thought nothing was going my way. I was stressed out from school, the weather sucked, it was cold, and all I wanted to do was escape to my own private island. Think about the time when you throw your hands up and say 'I need a vacation!' That's Paradise."
She adds, "Of course everyone has that special someone they want to take along with them to paradise, so this song is also about running away with a person you're crushin' on. 'Salt in the air, yeah we're there, laying lazy in the heat, surf guitars seeing stars, poppin bottles on the beach' is my favorite line."
Earlier this year, Annie released her debut single "Hot Lipz," another track captured her optimism, sense of romance and the fact that she thinks it's cool for girls to be forward and go after what they want.
Penned by Annie with her co-producers Cody Falkosky and Ben Vredevelt, the infectious track hit digital outlets January 15. She is currently working on an album, set for tentative release in late spring or early summer.
The multi-talented performer released a colorful, high-energy video for "Hot Lipz" which features Annie in a day/night roller rink scenario, perfectly mixing innocent charm with a hint of sex appeal as she longs for -and rolls along with- the guy whose affection she wants.
She celebrated the release of the single and video with a January show at the world renowned live music venue 12th & Porter in Nashville.
