Blue Track Records is proud to announce Nelsen Adelard’s sixth album : "Voodou By You" Nelsen’s new release is a sweet mix of Blues, Blues Rock and down home Acoustic Blues.

"I Need Tonight With You": The album opens with a song Nelsen wrote for a friend from Houma Louisiana Josh Garrett. He includes it here to pay homage to all the musicians that deal with life on the road and the long distance relationships they keep.

"Get In The Groove" was originally written for the South By Southwest album but never made it to the final sessions. This track features a full on jam session between guitarist Jon Puhl, Nelsen on harp and Mark Norris on sax.

"Mon Cheri" has a great tempo change from Mambo to Blues shuffle and back with a universal message of tough love.

"May Just Have To Set You Free" easily fits into Nelsen’s minor Blues style. Here he also trades licks with former LA sax man Mark Norris.

The title track "Voodou By You" is a wink and a nod to all the guys out there that find themselves doing crazy things for some woman. The chorus ends with "People may wonder why I do the crazy things that I do…..Voodou By You"

"Boom" is a stripped down jam between Nelsen on harp and Phil Christman on two drums. Nelsen dedicated this song to all his friends on Facebook with love troubles.

The last three songs on the album are acoustic based and were recorded at a small studio in McComb Mississippi before Nelsen moved further south to Florida.

"Train Whistle Blues" : The house that Nelsen and his family lived in, in Mississippi was about a mile from the railroad track. Several times a day he would hear the whistle blow. Sometimes it sounded mournful, sometimes it sounded triumphant, but as the song says it "Always made him smile"

"I’m Gone" was written as a theme for folks who are tired of the city life and want to get back to the woods.

And finally "Down The Road I Go" is a one take wonder of Nelsen playing an early composition on harmonica.

Co-produced by Nelsen and longtime friend and engineer Richard Robinson this album has something for every Blues fan.
