Not content with winning much of what there is to be won in the music industry, Lady GaGa has recently scooped MTV News’s Woman of The Year. This is quite an achievement as she won the award for a second year in a row without releasing an album.

Perhaps what is most admirable about the hard working pop star, is the way she spoke about causes boldly, without a thought for her career. She spoke prominently in support for gay rights and attacked the “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy.

The woman is a hard worker too, and is constantly touring, recording or making videos. Even if you do not like her music, it is harder to find another woman more deserving of the prize.

The singer has received particular notoriety for her videos, and has used all her skills to maximum potential. Coupled with her solid, and unswerving political stand point, she seems to offer more than the average pop star that seem to emerge from a production line.

The future also looks bright for the star, with new material emerging from her in 2011, and more political causes to champion, she will be a busy lady in the coming 12 months.
