(Jacksonville, Fla.)- On Friday, July 24th, Jacksonville acoustic-based, country/Americana group The Crazy Daysies headline Florida live music icon, Freebird Live in Jacksonville Beach.  Frontwomen of the group, sisters Rebecca Day and Jen Day-Thompson, are excited to perform at a venue with such a storied legacy of live music and history.

Freebird live is one of Florida’s premiere live music venues that houses national, regional and local acts of all kinds. With deep ties to southern rock legend Lynyrd Skynyrd, the fifteen year old concert venue’s purpose is to showcase bands in an up close and personal manner.

Rebecca began her professional career as a solo act before incorporating her sister’s viola and songwriting skills into her stylings in 2013. Since the inception of The Crazy Daysies, Rebecca and Jen have toured the southeast playing music in cities from Tampa, FL to Folly Beach, SC. They will perform at the Coral Sky Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach, FL August 29th for the Tim McGraw concert.

The Crazy Daysies released their debut EP, ‘Where the Dirt Runs out of Road,’ in 2014, and followed it with two single releases, ‘Write it in Stone’ and ‘Stick a Lime in it.’ They are preparing to record a full album at Rockbot Studios in Jacksonville with producer Josh Cobb after their summer tour ends in September.

‘Cheers to Gettin’ Sober,’ a song off of their EP, was picked up by Sonorous Entertainment and released as a single. It will also be a part of a compilation CD released by Universal Music Group. The Daysies are a part of Atlanta indie record label, CBM Records. Another track off of their EP, ‘Where the Dirt Runs out of Road,’ was picked up for use by a tourism company in the town the song was written for, Lake Murray, SC.

From the moment Rebecca began her professional music career, a goal of hers was to perform at Freebird. She said:

“I moved to Florida with my family in 2002, and from the moment I got here I realized how integral Freebird is to the music scene. My first memories with the venue were concerts I went to, and as I got older and focused on my music career more and more, I knew that performing an original music show at Freebird was a major goal I wanted to accomplish. I am so excited to have the opportunity to do that.”

The Crazy Daysies headline a full band show at Freebird live on Friday, July 24th.  Callahan country band Four Barrel and St. Augustine country/Americana group The Offshore will open. Showtime is 8 pm. Tickets are on sale now at jaxlive.com. Advanced tickets are $8 and $10 at the door.
